The tongue!!! My friend Bro. JD Collins said in preaching “I think I’ll put a bridle over my mouth.”

In these days when the news media is doing every thing possible to destroy this President and all of those who support him, we need to watch our tongue. James 1:26-27 says “If any man among you seem to be religious and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.” (or worthless) Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and the widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.” How about the tongue?!! James 3:6 says “And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniguity: so is the tongue amongst our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature: (life) and it is set on fire of hell.” No wonder James 1:19 says “Wherefore, my beloved brethren let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath. For the wrath of man worketh (does not produce) not the righteousness of God.”

I know these are trying days, and some times we may mean well and have a zeal for God, but we end up offending people with this little member called the tongue. This is why I pray every day for the wisdom that comes from above. Scripture says he that winneth souls is wise. O Lord give us that kind of wisdom, when they had driven the nails in your hands and feet, and you look down on them, with such compassion, and said “Father forgive them for they know not what they do”.

I’m not sure what tomorrow will bring, but I know who holds it. I Love you Jesus, and all those who you have brought out of Egypt. Help me to be Christ like and the Pastor, I ought to be. Thank you Lord for all the sheep, whom the adversary would like to devour today, will you keep them, as you kept your disciples? Thank you in Jesus name!!! Maranatha!!!
