What are we giving heed too, the opinions of men or (Jam.1:21) “the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls”? My prayer for all who may read this post, is that you are praying for the Holy Ghost, (John 15:13) to “guide you into all truth”

I looked in the mirror today and saw a man, (Phil.3:10-14) like Paul after 30 years of being arrested on the Damascus road, praying this prayer “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable (inwardly into his likeness, even) unto his death. If by any means, I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Not as though I had already attained, (obtained it, this goal of being Christlike) either were already (made) perfect: but I follow after, (to take hold of that perfection) if that I may apprehend (to lay hold of) that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended (made it) but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before. I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

Donald Stamps said “what is needed is a “forgetting those things that are behind” the corrupt world and our life of sin and a “reaching forth” for final salvation in Christ.”

We’re exhorted in James 1:22 to “be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding (looks intently) his natural face in a glass. For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.”

We’re in a battle for our very souls, Rev.12:10 and “the accuser of our brethren is (has) not been cast down.” (to earth) vs.13 And when he is cast down in the middle part of the tribulation period, John says “Woe to the inhabiters of the earth…”

My daily prayer is as my good friend throughout High School, his grandad Brother Little’s (who started many churches) wrote . . . .
“Rules for Today:
1. Do nothing that you would not like to be doing when Jesus comes. 2. Go to no place where you would not like to be found when Jesus comes. 3. Say nothing that you would not like to be saying when Jesus comes.”
